A wonderful trip. A guide with soul. Goreti is professional, empathetic, and kind. She talks passionately about the beautiful corners of the island. The trip was adapted to the changing weather conditions in October. I highly recommend it!

Gorete is the number 1!!! Top guide in Flores island, very kind and always ready to meet the needs of their clients. We did the full island tour which is a great choice because in 1 day you can taste every spot of this beautiful island. We had some troubles with a cancelled flight and she was right there to help us. She was fantastic. Best of the best.

We did the full-day tour, and the experience with Goreti was absolutely fantastic. She took us to so many beautiful and unique places, always making sure to go at our pace and giving us plenty of time to enjoy each stop. Goreti was kind and I highly recommend her and this tour. Really enjoyed our tour with Goreti!! She was very accommodating and let us take our time and we did not feel rushed at all. She knows the best times to go to each destination and where to go! Goreti literally saved me from a bad experience with Experience OC who canceled on me that same morning at 7:30 am even though I had booked this day with them for 5 months (so I don't recommend them). She kindly agreed to take me in addition to the people she had that day and took me on a tour of the island 😍 I was able to see all the most beautiful spots. She is very kind and doesn't count the hours spent unlike others (elsewhere, when it's 6 hours for a day, it's not a minute more, no matter where you are). I highly recommend her, she is exceptional! 😘

My husband and I saw Flores with Goreti in 2023, so when I planned a trip back with my sister last month, I naturally contacted her for a day tour. We were both thrilled with the experience! Goreti loves her home and enjoys sharing its beauty with others. The day we booked was pretty foggy, so we were not able to see everything that she wanted to show us. We kept saying it was still beautiful to us but she was determined that we would see Flores at its sunny best and took us out again two days later to see more of the island. Goreti,Was an awesome guide. The weather was foggy and she was concerned about making sure we saw all the beautiful sights of Flores Island. She even offered to bring us back the following day when the weather was clearer. But some areas were foggy at first but we went back. The weather cleared.One stop we made was at the Fajazinha’s water mill that crushed the corn into flour.It was amazing!! The senhora who was working the mill was so sweet.You can tell she loved her job.I thanked her for keeping history alive.During our drive I told Goreti I loved donkeys. She said she had seen 2 in one area. Well we were in luck. We found them.My phone ran out of battery so Goreti took a picture on her phone for me.She went far and beyond to make our venture around the island great.GORETI YOUR AWESOME!!

Goreti was an excellent guide, taking us to the most beautiful viewpoints of the islands (miradouros), to the lakes and the beautiful waterfalls. We were happy to have flexibility and to take our time for the short hikes to the waterfalls or to the lakes.She is also very funny, kind, and informative.We had times when we took pictures with the drone, and Goreti didn't want to get into our pictures, so she went to the car. Again, it was very kind of her.I highly recommend her for the safe drive, for the beautiful points she might take you to, and also for her funny stories.

My father grew up in Faial and was born in Flores. Before last year, he had not returned to Faial for 54 years due to coming to the United States at 14 y.o. to find better paying jobs with his family. I promised I would bring him back to see it once I became a nurse. Last year we returned to Faial, and here we are, 2 years later, returning to Faial AND adding Flores into our trip to see where he was actually born. We were slightly nervous to make this trip alone, seeing he does not have any family left on this island like he does in Faial. I found Mystic Tours through Google and the reviews all highly recommended this one. I found myself getting in touch with Goreti Medina. She was speedy with all replies and communication from the start and leading up to our tour. This made me feel as though we would be in good hands and that this person cared to answer any questions we may have on an unfamiliar island without hesitation. The morning Goreti picked us up as soon as we all started speaking with one another it was just organic and natural, she brought a warmth with her that made us feel so welcomed. There was never a dull moment for the entirety of the tour around Flores island. The sheer beauty of the untouched lands is truly astounding. Goreti is extremely knowledgeable about the island in every aspect. Ranging from what time of day is ideal to see certain viewpoints, to the history of the island and what makes it so unique. She offers plenty of rest stops and chances for restroom or water. Lunch was had at a local spot called Barraca Q’Abanna and it was absolutely fantastic. By the end of the tour we felt as though we have a real friend now on the island of Flores, and more incentive to return again one day. It was an experience myself and my parents will never forget. And my father now has a wonderful picture and understand of the land that he was born on. Everything feels like it has come full circle thanks to her.

A wonderful private tour of the island.We booked a full day tour with Mystic Tours and spent the day full of wonder. Goreti picked us up at our accommodation and off we went! Despite the changeable weather with a lot of fog, we were able to explore many corners of the island. Goreti took us to impressive viewpoints and the most beautiful waterfalls and told us various things about the island. There was enough time for coffee and food, two short trips to waterfalls and a beautiful and touching church. The special thing about the tour with Goreti is that she has a good feel for people, focuses on the interests of the group and, depending on the weather, adapts the tour so that it is as beautiful as possible. You can rely on her assessment of the weather, the trails or even the food 🙂 She accompanied us through the day with great kindness and showed us the beautiful island of Flores. After the tour we knew we had to come back to Flores because it holds so many wonders. Thank you, dear Goreti, for this wonderful day on the Emerald Isle!

Hello!5 stars for our lovely tourguide Goreti! She is funny, relaxed and knows every beautiful corner of Flores! She thinks about her guests wellbeing and safety. She is always on time and definitely worth your money! Sure, renting a car and explore on your own is awesome, but with her extra information about the weather and busy moments at high lights, your trip is getting more and more. The extra information about the history of the island and the people makes it complete. So you never get dissapointed or need to travel back to places because the weather wasnt good in the morning, or there were to many people around.If you are looking for a tourguide like I described, then dont look any further and give her a text! She responds within the hour or gives you a call.And if you are looking for a ride to or from the airport, her brother Silvio will bring you with care, total family package on the beautiful island Flores ;)Goreti, thanks again!!Greetings from Carmen and Zoe,your friends from Holland!

The island of Flores is a dream and having Gorete show you this island is an even bigger dream. The welcome at the airport was so warm that you felt like you were coming home to friends.We only had a few hours and Gorete made the most of this time. She immersed us in the beauty of this island, took us to places we would never have found on our own and told us a lot about the life of the islanders. The tour with her was simply perfect.I can only recommend every visitor to Flores to book Gorete, not to take a rental car or to take a guided tour with many participants.We would like to return to this island, but then only with Gorete. We just finished our tour with Goreti, which we enjoyed very much. Despite the bad weather conditions, she helped us make the most of our day on Flores, showing us around the whole island and adapting the tour such so that we could see the various sights in the best conditions possible. Goreti arranged the locations in such an order that the locations were visited in the most optimal weather/lighting conditions. She could tell me a lot of background information on the island. My boyfriend and I just returned from our trip to Flores Island (it was our second time visiting as we fell in love with the island the second we got in the first time) and it was our BEST trip yet. The first time we followed internet recommendations and decided not to rent a car (driving a manual car is WILD over there) - it was the best decision we made. We spent most of our trip with Goreti, saw everything we wanted to see and learned so much from simply hanging out with her. We highly recommend Mystic tours as our trip would not have beed the same without her. The island is very remote so having someone who helps when you need it is huge. Goreti's brother drives a taxi and they literally never left us hanging. If one was busy with other clients, the other one's got you. It is worth it to go with this company and if we could have planned the trip all over again knowing what we do now, we would do it the same exact way. We love you Goreti and hope to see you soon.

I enjoyed a full day tour of Flores island with Goreti yesterday. The tour was very thorough with many stops to take in the breathtaking views. She was also very accommodating with the itinerary and flexible to make adjustments as necessary. She is native to the island of Flores and as a result is extremely knowledgeable of the various sights, landmarks, flora and fauna. She has great command of English. She is highly recommended as a tour guide for the land tour of Flores island.

We had the best time on our tour with Goreti. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable and literally took us around the ENTIRE island on the full day tour. From the lakes to the waterfalls, we hit what felt like every major view and she even brought us to a great local restaurant for dinner at the end of the tour. Would definitely come back again.
